Alpha Pi Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda: On December 4, 2006 a new AEL chapter was officially established at Kean University with five charter members, Trevor Ramkissoon, Aneil Mohammed, Carey H. Brown, Janelle Alexander and Coretta Grant , and designated Alpha Pi , the 39th campus chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda. The Alpha Pi chapter is funded by a gracious donation from the Graduate Student Government Association of Kean University, Inc. The graduate students at Kean University deserved to be honored for their efforts in being active within the university community while maintaining high GPAs in their graduate programs. While many honor societies exist at KU, AEL is the only honorary on campus devoted exclusively to honoring graduate and professional school students.
